Dawlish & East Teignbridge Volunteer Bureau is a registered charity (no. 1051265), based in Dawlish, Devon.
It is the umbrella organisation for 4 distinct services:

The Volunteer Centre

We recruit, interview and place volunteers within the local community or with other voluntary organisations. We offer a befriending scheme, dog walking, a gardening project, and many other opportunities. If you have some time to spare, we would love to hear from you! Teignbridge Carers Break

We support Carers in the Teignbridge area by providing a sitting service, enabling Carers to have a much-needed break during the day or overnight. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission for the provision of Personal Care and we are also a recognised provider for the Devon Carers Link Voucher Scheme. The Outreach Benefits Service

Teignbridge Outreach Benefits Service offers a free home visiting service for carers to help identify and claim any benefits that they or the cared-for may be entitled to. The home visit enables and ensures the claimant receives full assistance, advice and help where necessary when applying for the various benefits. Voluntary Nail Cutting Service

Do you have difficulty cutting your toenails? We are here to help. This home-visiting service to trim toenails was set up in 2009 under a Department of Health initiative. It had to be suspended when the grant aid ran out, but we have now secured additional funding and the service re-commenced in May 2011 with the cost of each treatment being kept at the low rate of Ł5.50.
